Jonah is rooted in our community

Jonah has been deeply committed to community involvement and partnerships since we started in 2011.  We work with many agencies and they often refer their participants to Jonah for therapy and groups. All of our team members are community minded and come to Jonah's group practice with a long history of helping and serving in community settings; this is an essential value of what it means to be part of Jonah.

Since 2019, Fireside Design Build has been making monthly contributions that help Jonah offer community programming like sliding scale therapy access. We're grateful for this local business and their generous commitment to increasing access to wellbeing supports.

In 2018, Jonah moved from the Exchange District to our current location in the North End, next door to the Indigenous Family Centre. IFC is our landlord and we love to collaborate on various projects for our mutual participants and share space and ideas with them.  Jonah and IFC have partnered together on several projects, including Jonah's sliding scale fee program, which IFC issues charitable receipts for.   IFC, along with Ndinawe, shared support and administrative responsibilities for the Wooden Pipe Lodge, which operated from 2018-2021.

Jonah's offices were formerly the location of Ndinawe's Child and Youth Care Training Program, which has trained many community helpers over the years. Jonah folks were pleased to stay in partnership with this Ndinawe program in support of the Wooden Pipe Lodge, an initiative that offered cultural supports from 2018-2021.  The expressive arts team at Jonah also provider drop-in art therapy at Tina's Safe Haven 2020-2021.
